This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use The Attaché mobile application and website at theattacheja.com (collectively, the "Service").
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
When you register for an account, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, country of residence, and password (stored in encrypted form).
To personalise your experience, we may collect your nationality, country of birth, intended move date to Jamaica, business type and industry, and other information you choose to provide.
We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including which screens you visit, which services you search for, features you use, and your general interaction patterns within the app.
All payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store your credit or debit card details on our servers. We retain transaction records including plan type, amount paid, and payment date for billing and support purposes.
We collect information about the device you use to access the Service, including device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
If you use community features, submit service requests, or submit crime or community reports, we store the content you submit along with associated metadata.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (Oregon, US West) operated by Supabase Inc. under their SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure. Supabase employs industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
Canadian users: your data is processed under PIPEDA-compliant terms. UK users: data transfers are governed by UK GDPR standard contractual clauses. We take commercially reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
Despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Free and Trial plan users may see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Paid plan subscribers (Basic, Standard, Premium, and Elite) do not see advertisements.
Youth Free account holders (verified enrolled students under 18) receive child-directed ad treatment compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Ads served to Youth Free accounts are restricted to family-safe, G-rated content only.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings or through Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Our Service is intended for users 18 years of age and older. Youth Free accounts are available to students currently enrolled in a Jamaican school who are under 18, subject to parental consent and proof of enrollment verification by our team.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@theattacheja.com and we will delete it promptly.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.
Our mobile application does not use browser cookies. The app may use device identifiers and analytics tools to understand usage patterns. Our website at theattacheja.com may use cookies for analytics and functionality.
Google AdMob, used on free tier accounts in the app, may use device identifiers for ad personalisation. You can limit this through your device's advertising settings.
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites and services including Jamaican government websites (PICA, TAJ, COJ, NHT, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, by sending a notification through the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
